Virtual Tours have several applications such as Car Dealerships, Real Estate marketing, product marketing, etc.

Virtual Tour :                                                                                                                                                                                                      
  1. Virtual Tour means a 360-degree view of the product or property viewable on the worldwide web. This technique allows businesses to show their products (such as cars) and properties (such as buildings and land) on the web. For example, in case of a home, it allows the realtor (or seller) to show the home inside / out including landscaping, interior design, furniture, etc.

  2. Virtual Tour (also known as “Image Processing”) consists of editing of raw images obtained from the client and processing them to give the Client the best output required to form a virtual tour of the product or property.
    Image Processing is done using a variety of software such as Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, Photomatix and iPIX.

  3. Image Processing is a vast field and has quite a variety of applications such as Car Dealerships, Real Estate Marketing, Product Marketing, etc.
    The most common Image Processing is seen in Photography, Image Mixing in magazines , newspapers, brochure making and advertisement campaigns on the internet.

  4. The term “Buyer” or “End User” is used to describe the person who is interested in buying or selling the property.
    The term “Client” is used to describe the virtual realtor or dealership who offers this service to the “Buyer”.
    ITTI deals only with the “Client”. This presentation is aimed at the “Client”

  5. BPO = Business Process Outsourcing
    This fast growing Image Processing BPO consists of editing of photos of properties that can then be uploaded onto the website.
    We call this the “Virtual Property Tour” or simply “Virtual Tour”. Property can be residential or commercial.

  6. In Virtual Tours, the basic requirement is that the buyer who views the property on the Internet should view practically all details of the property as if he/she were actually present in the home and viewing it personally.

  7. To make the tour mimic the reality, all the walls, the furniture, the view outside the windows, the color of the walls, brightness in the house and other details are important.

  8. To begin with, using a specialized camera, multiple hemispheric shots are taken at different angles with different exposures. This is done by the client. ITTI does not take pictures.
    The client then uploads all the exposures onto a designated site on the Internet. This designated site is generically referred to as the FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Site.

  9. The ITTIBPO team in India downloads these images and processes them through Photoshop, Photomatix, iPIX or similar software. This is the editing phase.  Specific expertise is required to combine different exposures, so that the final image has all the details combined into a single exposure.
  10. The final output is then uploaded onto the FTP site.  Usual time to process images is 12 hours.
